The G2®
Grease Guard® system begins
with the grease deflecting flashing, which
channels all contaminants discharged from
the exhaust fan into the G2®
Grease Guard® filter system.
The contaminants and rainwater are captured
in the porous top pre-filter and then dispersed
toward the Advanced Filter Composite®.
The Advanced Filter Composite®
consists of transfer, absorption and barrier
filter layers. The transfer filter repels
rainwater and harmful ultraviolet rays, while
quickly transferring the contaminants to the
absorption filter layers. The nearly fifty
absorption layers trap and hold the contaminants
within the G2® Grease Guard®
system. The contaminants wick throughout the
absorption layers and are prevented from exiting
the system by a leak proof barrier layer.
Under the Advanced Filter Composite®
lies the bottom airflow filter, which allows
air to circulate throughout the filter system.
The final component is a fire barrier layer,
which is placed in the bottom of the G2®
Grease Guard® system to protect
the roof and building from any potential exhaust
system fire hazards. The entire filter system
fits within a 4" high sturdy patented frame
that is assembled around the exhaust fan and
contaminated areas. |
